Pat Carlton studied for her BSc Hons in Chiropractic for 5yrs at the McTimoney College of Chiropractors in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Pat is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is also a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association, The College of Chiropractors and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
As a primary health care professional she is trained to assess and diagnose musculoskeletal conditions. Pat set up her own clinic to provide a range of therapies to help all achieve improved health and well-being through prevention.
Prior to becoming a chiropractor Pat was a local primary teacher. As part of her studies she looked into the factors influencing parent's use of chiropractic for their children, this paper has since been published in Clinical Chiropractic 2009 and been presented at other chiropractic and osteopathic establishments. As a result Pat is very keen to promote the preventative benefits of chiropractic treatment for school age children.
Pat is also a lover of animals, owning cats, dogs and horses herself, and has undertaken additional training with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractors to enable to safely and effectively treat animals. Again Pat is keen to promote prevention in the animal world.
